Today, I was feeling guilty about an argument I had with my mother right before she left to go shopping. When she got back, I ran to give her a hug and tell her I loved her. Unfortunately, in the process, I knocked over and broke her new $200 vase. FML

Well, she's a mum,I'm sure she'd rather have your hug, than her vase. On second thought, she'd rather have both maybe...

Don't be so hard on yourself, OP! It sounds like your relationship is pretty healthy, considering you felt comfortable with hugging her. She will forgive you :)

Twice the hug should do. Besides, she can buy another vase, but not your love.

Me too, 19, but it better be extra pepperoni!! e.e

One day you two will look back and not be worried about the vase!

Who the hell buys a vase these days?

I just see it as $200 spent on fragile glass or painted clay...

#38 - While I see it that way as well, one must consider that the mysterious, complex, unsolvable entity that is a woman's mind will probably hold different value to such an object. Not to disrespect all the dudes out there that also appreciate the dual utility of human expression and holding displaced flowers.

Looks like you are going vase shopping or you don't really love your mother.

Oh, you pronounce it that way. I'd have said she needed to go to see the Wizard a Vase.

Just keep on the roll you're on, go and get flowers for her new vase.

This is why you should never argue with your Mom.

Who needs a $200 vase anyways?

Hopefully she will see past it and doesn't think you did it deliberately. She is your mum, you will both make up either way eventually :)

Vase the facts OP, $ 200 can't shatter your relationship with your mother.
