Oh, and 58, when the car is going 45 in a 20 zone, it's easy to think that you have more time to cross than you actually do. Watch it.
If they're paying the insurance and you're under their plan, (which just about everyone under 19 or in college is) then there isn't a whole lot you can do about it. It still sucks though, although technically it isn't your money, they should show a little consideration. I'd still be pretty pissed, unfortunately it sounds like something my parents would do as well. Just gives you a reason to get out on your own when you can and not give them any of what you make! :P
Wow. Really sucks when your parents are in the selfish stage. My mom is past that. My dad on the other hand, is always selfish. Give 'em a break and let them live while they still can.
sucks that your parents think that way. at least you heard them so you know what they are doing.
Good to know their priorities are straight.
Seriously? This is why I never want kids! You want the insurance money? Sweet, then YOU should be paying the insurance bills. Honestly, you sound like a bratty little kid. If my parents did that, I'd say, "Good for you guys" and go about my day. It's not like you have massive hospital bills to pay that they are stranding you with. You're fine, you don't need the money, you just want it. There's a huge difference. And as for the whole "I need it for college!" complaint. Kiss my a$$. MILLIONS of college kids graduate with zero money from their parents. It's called taking out loans and getting scholarships. Stop the whining and get over it.
ouch, that sucks, fyl

You know, even if you're a minor (guessing here), you CAN sue your parents if they use the money for anything that isn't used DIRECTLY for your own well-being.
Awww...they really love you. Now you have no reason to spend any hard earned money you make later in life on them! 8D
