Today, I was playing in a basketball game and blocked this kid's shot. I was really pumped up about it until I realized the kid had cerebral palsy and the coach put him on the team because he really wanted to be on at least one team in his life. FML

Today, I had a basketball game against our rivals. Since the starting guard had a broken ankle, I felt happy that I could finally get playing time and prove that I'm good. Instead I had to run the scoreboard for the game, because the scoreboard guy was absent. FML

Today, I was playing basketball in our company gym. I took a shot from half court, and at that exact moment, an executive walked into the gym with an important potential client. My shot bounced off the side of the backboard, off some bleachers, and right into the client's head. FML

Today, while playing badminton at school, I got an opponent who is mentally handicapped. Since I'm terrible at the game, I guess the teacher assumed it would be a good match. I won the match, my first victory ever. My teacher accused me of cheating to humiliate him. FML

Today, during a soccer game, some utter moron got the bright idea of trying to score a goal from his side of the field. I sarcastically made a big show of just barely stopping the ball, and nailed it off to the side. The ball hit a kid so hard in the head that he had to go to the hospital. FML

Today, my baseball team had a game and one of our best players was injured sliding into first. I'm pretty fast so when the coach called my name I grabbed a helmet assuming it was finally my chance to get in the game. Turns out he just wanted me to get ice. The entire team couldn't stop laughing. FML

You shouldn't feel bad, you didn't know and I don't see how YDI at all. Plus, the kid was probably happy everyone wasn't just going to let him do whatever.

Umm. What does that matter? Disabled kids don't want you to play easy on them or anything. The coach probably didn't tell you on purpose. You SHOULD be playing same as you always do.

Today, I played on a basketball team for the first time in my life. I never get to play in a real game because I have cerebral palsy. The coach put me in, and I even got the ball - but then some asshole blocked my shot. FML.

kids who have cp dont want to get treated like other people in sports bc their not like other people ( i have a cousin with ds so dont take this as a sign of disrespect towards the mentally handicapped). but come on, i hoop all the time and i can tell right off the bat how good a person is, and if someone had cp it should be quite obvious. you may not of been being an asshole, but you are a dumbass. i hope that kids dad beats up your dad.

i made an account to comment on this just to say **** YOU #23! I bet this kid was better than you. The word 'retard' is highly offensive, and i cringed just typing it. It's one thing when it's replaced for the word 'stupid' just because it is adapted into normal language and people aren't trying to be mean, but to actually use it to describe a special needs child is completely disgusting. go to hell.
