Today, I was playing with my dog, teasing her, to cheer myself up after being dumped by my girlfriend. My dog bit me hard and I had to go to hospital. The dog has to be put down. FML

Learn some ******* reading comprehension idiot. Teasing a dog is normal play, though sometimes they're just not in the mood and they snap. Clearly, the dog snapped and the OP had to go to the hospital for stitches. I really doubt they went around town telling everyone their dog viciously attacked them.

If an animal attacks someone, depending on the circumstances and the area, some laws require the animal to be put down. It could have been ordered by the law to happen. :/

op - you really should try to fight this. go talk to a lawyer asap and see if you can prevent it. it seems like sense it's your dog you should have a say. I hate anti flood!

You had to know they would put your dog down if you went to the hospital. If you really cared about your dog, you would have stitched yourself up. You suck OP, and I feel sorry for your dog.

YDI because, ya know what, it's your own fault. If you feel bad about something, *play* with your dog (like tug-of-war or fetch) instead of teasing it. I hope you're proud of the fact that you've effectively murdered your dog. Again: big, fat YDI.

You get no sympathy. It's completely YOUR fault that your dog is being put down. And I never understood why people put their dogs down for biting them, especially when it is usually THEIR faults it happened in the first place. Unless your dog comes up and randomly decides to maul your face or rips your finger off, I don't see the reason to end it's life. It's a bite, get over it. I got my first dog when I was 7 years old and she was a puppy. I would tease her and my mom would warn me that if I got bit it would be my fault. And I did eventually get bit by my dog pretty badly when I was 9, and I had to get stitches from my wrist to my knuckles and my mom told me it was my fault, and it was because I was teasing her when it happened. I sure learned my lesson. She is 10 years old and I still have her today. And I'm sure you're old enough to know NOT to tease your dog. Of course it is going to bite you, it can't TELL you to stop. And I'm sure it was barking and growling before it led up to biting you. **** your dogs life, asshole.

Ok. I'm sorry about the dog. But NOT for your sake. You were the one TAUNTING the dog. I get playing with the dog to improve your mood b/c animals can do that. But to tease the dog then get upset b/c it has to be put down when it's your fault is kind of pathetic. Your dog did NOT deserve death. Did you say that it was your fault and not the dogs? If so, it would have saved the dog's life. So no. Not "FML" for you. "RIP Innocent animal who's death was undeserved because of me" is better
