So let me see if I understand, you knowingly teased the dog, and the dog bit you to the point they say it has to be put down? I say its wrong, you are the one who needs to be put down for teasing the dog in the first place
Like you have NEVER teased an animal before.
oh my god I'm so sorry :(
"bit me hard". I bet it wasn't hard compared to what it could have done... you friggin' cry-baby! Agree with #18. Ask for the needle yourself.
c'mon some dogs like to play rough. Mine shredded my shirt once & I still love her
Nobody has thought that maybe it's a young dog and still has very sharp teeth? Geez do you guys know anything about dogs?
you should really just had told them it wasn't your dog and you don't know where the dog is, feel bad for your dog. If I were you I would just hide the dog at a friends and say he escaped and u can't find him, until it all blows over, then take him home. good luck, that is a stupid law. now get off FML and get to it before it's too late.
Before anyone starts on me I work I animal control. 1. If you are bitten and go to hospital they legally have to inform the proper people. 2. Not everywhere do are there requirements that call for putting dogs to sleep if they bite. but where they do owner gets no choice in the matter, this is also not common practice. I'll try to find some places that do. 3. But they will require them to be kept at a vets or in shelter for a period of time if thy do not have current Rabies Vaccine. 4. Size of dog doesn't matter, one of the biggest cases made is from a Pom biting an infant in in the throat killing it. Please think before you speak.
OP sounds like a sociopath. To make himself feel good, he picks on some other innocent animal and makes them feel bad - bad enough to bite back hard. Perhaps it's this sort of behaviour that caused OP's girlfriend to dump him. YDI
that's messed up you don't tease animals... hello they are animals... no sh*t it bit you and now it has to be put down because you are a jack ass...

Learn some ******* reading comprehension idiot. Teasing a dog is normal play, though sometimes they're just not in the mood and they snap. Clearly, the dog snapped and the OP had to go to the hospital for stitches. I really doubt they went around town telling everyone their dog viciously attacked them.
If an animal attacks someone, depending on the circumstances and the area, some laws require the animal to be put down. It could have been ordered by the law to happen. :/
