Today, I was playing with my dog, teasing her, to cheer myself up after being dumped by my girlfriend. My dog bit me hard and I had to go to hospital. The dog has to be put down. FML

Learn some ******* reading comprehension idiot. Teasing a dog is normal play, though sometimes they're just not in the mood and they snap. Clearly, the dog snapped and the OP had to go to the hospital for stitches. I really doubt they went around town telling everyone their dog viciously attacked them.

If an animal attacks someone, depending on the circumstances and the area, some laws require the animal to be put down. It could have been ordered by the law to happen. :/

First, if you put the dog down and it isn't required by law, then fück you. Not your life. YOU. Animals only bite for reasons and any animal can be cured of its fear/aggression. My hands are covered in scars from working with animals (and every bite was my fault, although I wasn't teasing them, in retrospect each time there was something stupid I was doing), all of whom became model pets in short order. Second, even if it IS required by law it is still your damn fault for teasing it. No wonder you lost your gf if you are that much of an immature wanker. Let us hope you don't find another girl lest you accidentally reproduce, and never get another pet, lest you find a way to fück up its life as well. So yeah. RIP poor dog who got killed because of some fücking moron.

It prolly has to do with OP bein in Australia, different laws. When my Pit bit me the hospital was required to report it to DHEC. I cried more over the fear of them tryin to hurt him than the horrible wound they were stitching up. In my case they never contacted me, maybe cuz I told them they'd have to take my Glock from my hands before they could take my baby. Before all you Pit haters jump in, he wasn't vicious in 7 yrs, but reacted in pain & fear when I touched something on his side that turned out to be a cancerous tumor. He was a big baby that slept in my pillow. He didn't "turn" on me & bite, he was predictable, & a very great & loving dog that died 3 months later after thousands of dollars in surgery & chemo.

Not necessarily. Read some of the other comments before you make yourself look like an idiot. Some places have laws where the dog WOULD need to be put down in this type of situation.
