and thats exactly why nurses shouldnt be allowed outside hospitals. didnt check for a response. CPR fail!!!
haha I love seeing nurses try and do my job on the streets ( hint username) they freak out bc its not a calm eiviroment like a hospital is. I guess you forgot the basic abcs. and if it wasn't really breathing and had no pulse there is no way he could of came back that quick. (like you see on tv such as bay watch or something) calm down and think sometimes
Don't group all nurses together. I'm an ICU RN and volunteer as a medic at sports events. some of us function well under high pressure and outside of so-called calm environments.
Personally I hate you guys, Being an RT In a LTAC we have paramedics/firefighters etc. transport patients out if we deem them too unstable for long term care... You guys don't do compressions without your board that does it for you and stand around and scratch your butt while I run codes.
I am a nursing student. Always, always, always check to make sure they have a pulse and are breathing before you start CPR.
This is why I'm scared I give CPR to someone without a mouth cover... Lol
Spitters are quitters
Maybe you should have checked his pulse first?
This is why you don't help old people
As a certified first responder, I always have a CPR mask in my bag, for exactly this reason!

That is definitely one of the most grotesque things I have ever heard in my nineteen years of living.
You should have at least tried waking him up or checking his pulse first..
