Unless he's an A-class bag of worms in which case why the heck did you stay on the call and didn't break up with him? And if he thought he mutted it, then same answer. But you know, you *can* have a friend-date with someone who is a girl and there aren't any romantic feelings there. They're called friends and you don't always need to meet in a group to hang-out with friends. Maybe those two just wanted to catch up alone? It's not a bad thing. But in any case - there's too little information here to pass an "what an asshole!" judgement, because in the same way someone could say you're being "overly clingy and paranoid".
