Today, I was watching a movie at my girlfriend's house with her and her parents. There was a part where a brother and sister kissed, so I said "where'd they come from, Alabama?" Today is also the day I found out my girlfriend's parents are from Alabama. FML

Today, I was watching a movie with my sister, my roommate, and my girlfriend. Halfway through the movie, my girlfriend left the room and texted me that she was breaking up with me. She then came back in the room, sat on my bed, and enjoyed the rest of the movie with us. FML

I'm from Alabama, and honestly, its GREAT. Everyone has manners, is considerate, and doesn't look like a Paris Hilton wanna be. AND Yes, there are a few rednecks and weird people. But THAT IS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD. So please, get your facts striaght before you hate on "Sweet Home Alabama" . Thanks (:

when you're with her parents, try to keep it positive and not make fun of anyone.... otherwise they might think you are a mean or negative person, not to mention things like this happening. good luck!
