Today, I weighed myself. When I was fifteen, my mom yelled at me, saying that I was going to end up being 200 pounds by the time I was forty. Well, mom, you're wrong. At this rate I'll be 200 pounds by the time I'm twenty. FML

prove her wrong by eating more and more and become 300 pounds :)

No! Just stop eating junk! Start eating less meat, less fatty foods, and stop listening to your bitchy mom and start feeling like you are worth something. And excersise - not because you're fat, but because ypur life is better when you do. Maybe you'll loose weight, maybe you won't. But you'll be healthier.

Technically, your mom was still right.

You shut the **** up. You're probably a fat **** yourself, so stop yelling at her. Some people can't help being fat, it's in their family or they just eat out of boredom. Have some heart and stop being a asshole. **** you.

To Toaster: Bullshit. If they're "eating out of boredom" then they CAN help themselves by recognizing that and working to stop. As for the "it's in their family" line? That's crap too. Having fat parents isn't an excuse for being fat. They may be more predisposed towards obesity because of negative influences/slower metabolism/not learning proper eating habits, but it is NOT an excuse and people CAN help themselves. People like you who spout off this bullshit like, "It isn't their faaaaauult," or "they just caaaan't help themselves," aren't doing anything helpful. By giving them an out, you're moving the responsibility for a person's health and weight from where it belongs, THEIR shoulders. Instead of realizing that it is their bad habits or that they have an obstacle to overcome (slow metabolism, etc), they can now just sit there and say "It doesn't matter what I eat or do, since I can't 'help' but weigh this much and there's nothing I can do." All you do when you say that "Have a heart, they can't help it," spiel is enable overweight people to continue their unhealthy practices, or give them an excuse to not work past personal obstacles. You further the problem, you don't help solve it.

Oh, yeah.......the old "it runs in my family, I can't help it" bulls**t.........90% of the people in my family (both my mom's and my dad's side) are overweight and, while it is true that I have a slower metabolism and gain weigh easily, it doesn't mean that it's impossible to get in shape! I used to be overweight, but I decided to eat less, reduce my fat intake and exercise more and....guess what!!?!......I dropped the extra weight! It's been half a year since I've stopped dieting and I haven't gained any of that weight back. No, I'm not rail thin (nor was I intending to be) but I'm a size 4 and that's good enough for me.

Try to get control of your weight when you are between 15 and 20. When you get older, it becomes MUCH harder. Plus, you'll be missing out on prime time to get laid. (I can't possibly say anything that is only wise advice!)
