Today, I went to my boyfriend's house to meet his parents. They informed me they were lawyers throughout the meal, which explained the gorgeous house. My boyfriend excitedly told them I was promoted manager at my job. They asked where I work. I work at Burger King. FML

Today, I borrowed my mom’s BMW to impress my new girlfriend. I'd told her that I owned an accounting firm, so I had to look the part. Today was also the day someone decided to rear-end us. That someone happened to be my boss at Burger King. Let’s just say, the cat’s out of the bag and I’m single now. FML

I started complaining to him about how his parents were horrible and mean. Little did I know, his parents had followed us in and were right behind me. FML

Today, I went over to my girlfriend's house for dinner. Her parents seemed upset, so I tried to lighten the mood by saying, "Hey, at least the weekend is coming up and you guys won't have to go to work." Apparently, they were upset because they both got laid off from their jobs today. FML

Today, my boyfriend proposed to me. My boss called me into her office and congratulated me, and spent almost half an hour asking me what our wedding plans were, where we might honeymoon, if we wanted kids, etc. She then followed this by suddenly remembering she had called me into the office to sack me. Yeah, not an FML. Unless of course you're 30, JUST managed to get promoted at BK and dating a 30-yr old guy that still lives with his parents. Or, you're 16 and dating some 30 y.o. guy who lives with his parents. Or you're 30 and dating a 16 y.o. who lives with his parents... or some permutation of the above. Then yeah. Totally. FYL.

It sounds like your boyfriend's parents are a couple of snotty bastards. Not an FML, unless you're ashamed for some reason, in which case, FYL because you're so insecure.
