I wish our dog went in her sleep naturally. It is much worse if you have to take them into the vet and have the vet kill the poor animal because they're so old and in tremendous pain. Yes, it's weird that you found out that way, but you obviously loved them and they likely had an amazing life because of that. Death is natural, we're just normally shielded from it.

I agree. I had to put down my Skippy last October because he couldn't even breathe without tilting his head up because of internal bleeding. We found out he had a large tumor hardly a week before. Saddest day of my life and I still miss him terribly.

sorry about your dog...I had a dog once, I kept him for years until one day he decided to attempt to swallow my arm full, I wasn't mad...a bit scared....but not mad, the worst thing about this is that my dad took care of him with an axe. I still loved my dog. I'm sure he/she knows that you still loved him/her. ~In Memories Of Krypto~
