Today, I woke up to find my best friend lying down and unresponsive. Frightened, I tapped on the glass. He got scared and started swimming again. My best friend is a fish. FML

Today, I went to see a fortune teller. She said one of my closest friends will die soon because of me. Frightened I hurried home to avoid meeting anyone I know. At home I found my goldfish floating on its back. Apparently I forgot to feed my closest friend for the past 3 days. FML

Today, I was woken up by my phone alarm blaring at full volume. I grabbed it to hit snooze, but in my half-asleep state, I accidentally threw it across the room. It hit the wall, bounced off, and landed in my fish tank. My fish is fine. My phone is not. FML

Today, I was at a friend's pool party. He lives on a lake and one of our friends wouldn't get in the water. My best friend and I decided to push him off the dock. Once we had, I turned to see my crush who had watched looked shocked, then said, "You know he can't swim right?" FML

Today, I heard a loud crashing noise. I ran into the kitchen to see what it was. My cat had knocked over my fish bowl and had my Beta in her mouth. After scolding her and rescuing it, I decided to clean its bowl. When I went to dump some of the water in the sink, my fish went down the drain. FML

Today, I nearly drowned. I was at a wave pool for the first time and stupidly swam out to the deep end. When the waves turned on, I discovered I can't swim in rough water. Despite my yelling, "Help!" and flailing around, the lifeguard paid me no attention. My friend had to save me. FML

You do know that tapping on the glass can give the fish a disease that can and most likely will kill it? An accidental bump won't do it, but prolonged or repeated tapping on the glass will stress them out making them more prone to disease, usually Ichthyophthirius Multifiliis, also known as ick/ich where the fish get white spots (that are actually parasites) all over them.

It can indirectly give them a disease. If you would have fully read what I said you would know that. Tapping on the tank stresses the fish out. Stress lowers their immune system making them more likely to contract a disease. Most commonly is ick. I'm almost 30 years old and have had a fish tank for over half of that time. We lost almost an entire fish tank full of fish because of this exact thing. Also it would take you about 30 seconds to research and verify what I say.
