Today, I won 20 dollars on a lotto scratch off. My friend, pissed, makes me split the money, saying it was collateral for the gas money used to get us there. He then used his 10 dollars on a scratch off, and won 500 dollars. The jackass wouldn't split it. FML

"friend"? **** that. he could have given you SOMETHING... $500 is enough to hand at least $50 over... unless he was in dire need for that financially.

What a douche. Somebody who throws some shitty hissyfits over ten bucks is the kind of asshole I would distance myself from immediately.

People that complain about gas money when you are going less than 100 miles suck at life anyway. I think this your fault for having shitty friends.

#30: I am aware that the dollar sign goes before the number. I just like it better when it's after...since this isn't a formal document or anything of that sort. It just looks cooler and it's unique. I'm sorry I'm not a conformist...lol :) :| :(

So? Why should he? He drove, right? That's why he made you split yours. Why should he split his, then?

gave you a YDI for not standing up for yourself and demanding the $10 back. I could understand if he asked for gas money for a long road trip or if you called and specifically asked to be taken somewhere, but this sounds like the two of you were hanging out anyway.

He should've just given you back the $10 you gave him from what you won, and kept his $500. That would've been fair.

what a dick. but, if you won $500, would you split it with your friends if they didn't need it? although, i agree that he shouldn't have charged you THAT much for gas. maybe you can leech this money off him by asking him to buy various things for you :P

What #10 said. You need better taste in friends.

That's not really someone you can call a friend. He could have least of returned the $10 to you. Would he have charged you gas money had you not won in the first place? Friends do things for one another without tallying. >.
