Today, it is my boyfriend's and my one year anniversary. I bought him a Playstation 2. As soon as I gave it to him, he went straight to set it up without giving me anything. I said "What about me?" He walked over to me, gave me a kiss and said "I love it when you buy me things for no reason." FML

My brother's girlfriend bought him a PS2 last year... because he wanted one. not everyone wants things that are the top of the range, he wanted to play the old games because he enjoyed them.

Just gonna say OP that nobody knows the status of your relationship, how serious y'all are or what plans y'all have made together so don't let anyone judge you on what you should and shouldn't celebrate with someone you love! A year is a good while with someone and those who have been there understand that there has to be some committment to the relationship on both parts...so either the b/f forgot or doesn't care! And I say...you don't need a specific reason, date, or place to celebrate love! Hang in there... And for all you fanboys and girls, the PS3 Slim sucks because it is not backwards compatible...but that's my opinion because I love a lot of PS2 games! http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/08/ps3-slim-ditches-backward-compatibility-linux-support/ So those who still want to enjoy PS2 games and don't already own the PS3 40GB which is the only backwads compatible PS3, PS2 is the way to go! Not to mention there still a healthy ton of awesome PS2 games for cheap, affordable prices(at least for those of you who actually have non-gaming lives and spend your money on more recreational means than becoming next-gen).
