Today, it was my boyfriend's 21st birthday. Along with a pair of $80 shoes, I bought him a birthday cake, his favorite ice cream and a $15 balloon. I showed up to the party and he was very intoxicated. So intoxicated that he pops the balloon, drops the cake, and throws up all over his new shoes. FML

I would like to see this $15 balloon.

But he's still got the ice cream right? Let's keep this in perspective!

although that really sucks i think the cake part was a YDI cuz you didnt have to hand him the cake.. just set it down on a table or something.

YDI for dating someone who drinks and cant control themself.

I think the OP meant it was an ice cream cake, so there was no more cake or ice cream. And as for a $15 balloon, THEY EXIST, I've gotten them plenty of times. They're just over sized balloons, no "gold rim" or any of that crap.

Hahaha #91, yeah way to go to assumptions. Actually, what I meant was just that- boys will be boys. just like girls will be girls. In other words, boys are going to do things that boys do! One of those things happens to be getting drunk at their 21st birthday party. I know I will, and I know just about all of my friends either have, or will. But umm, I can see you are very touchy about your femininity, and you obviously got stood up at your high school prom. So i'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. Just don't try bringing it on me K? ======================= And I do care what this girl thinks!! It's just SO CLEAR THAT SHE DIDN'T THINK AT ALL! IF she was thinking, she would have taken that 15 greenbacks she spent on the balloon and spent it instead on a few 6-packs of beer. Haha guys, am I right?? THAT would have made a much better contribution! And IF she was thinking, she wouldn't have been so mortified and angry that- God forbid- a guy is going to get legally drunk, on the first day he is ALLOWED to be legally drunk, after he was binded by law his whole life not to drink, up until that point! You can't contain us guys. And when you place laws on us like "don't drink until 21", you know DAMN WELL we gonna go get ourselves PLASTERED as soon as we reach that legal age! =) ps 91 I would do you, but I'm afraid your vag will either consume my d*ck completely, or ooze some sort of strong acid that will burn off my skin. So i politely decline your request to ****, sugartits

i want a $15 balloon for MY birthday! Except wait... I'm not turning six.

YDI for getting him something other than alcohol for his 21st birthday, and for whining about the amount of money you spent. FHisL - now he'll never get to wear the shoes unless he gets them cleaned, and he didn't get to enjoy the cake or balloon.

although I agree that if the balloon was $15 it should be unpoppable (sp?) i have seen very expensive (and awesome) balloons before that have stuff inside the balloon or have inflatable stuff inside or whatever. people can go crazy when designing balloons. anyways lol i woulda just gotten real drunk after that.

sounds like its time to get a boyfriend who isn't a drunken idiot.

#97 has shown off his age as pre-21. I'm hardly surprised, given the lack of thought he has displayed on these boards, and the simplistic assertions and gross overgeneralizations which permeate his posts. Masculinity (as he uses it) and femininity have nothing to do with acting like a decent human being - "boys will be boys" (and girls will be girls) is an attitude that continues a culture of sexual segregation and repression, which puts rapists back on the street, and which condones the basest of adolescent male behavior. I'm man enough to treat women with respect. I'm man enough to stick to the point in an argument. And I'm man enough to value those who do the same and stand up against those who do not. When you become a man, you'll realize what I mean. "Haha guys, am i right??" Bitch, no you're not.
