Today, it was my first day at school in the United States. Being from France, my French accent is really strong. After being made fun of all day, I met someone from Montreal. I was so excited and said, "Parlez-vous Français?" And his response? "HUH?!" FML

Isn't there a Montreal in Minnesota ... Or some other state? Maybe he was from there...

umm, don't you mean "Parles-tu Francais"?

Not all canadiens speak French. I'm sorry, I'm not terribly sympathetic. How hard is it to learn a language with the correct accent? I'm sure a lot of French speaking people would find it amusing if I walked around saying "Par-lez voo frankaize?"

Welcome to the grand ol' US of A. HAHAHAHAHA. It sucks right? Visit the south while you're here. People are much more polite and hospitable down here. And well... Canada sucks too. Its too cold there or something and people are contantly pissed off up there. I lived in Iowa for 3 years, trust me its not going to get any better. They will hate you till you leave, I'm still not why sure they're angry all the time up there. But well welcome to the country I guess.

I'm French Canadian and I go to an american/international school and I can tell you guys that there is a huge rivalry between the French Canadians and the French from France... They do not understand our accent at all and make us repeat everything 23589 times!
