Today, it was my first day on the job as a first grade teacher. One student pushed another, so I asked him to apologize. His response? "If you boss me around, I'll tell Daddy you touched me somewhere you shouldn't have." I think I'm now this kid's slave. FML

I'd report that little shit to his parents. Don't let him boss you around or else more and more kids will follow and you'll be miserable. Stand up for yourself!

Is it me, or are children getting less and less respectful at a sickeningly fast rate?

As an Early Childhood Edu Major and my church's Teacher's Assistant/Teacher, I know how that feels. T__T

Tell his father what he said immediately or you really will be.

Wtf? His slave? What's wrong with you? Use your brain and report him. Someone needs to straighten this kids messed up head. If I were you and he said that to me, I would have taken him to the principals office.

Some schools in the US start as early as the 2nd week of August.

Many schools in the US do start in August. A few wait until after Labor Day, but fewer and fewer are.

Go in with a digital recorder and when he starts with other children, stop him again. Bring the thing to the principal and parents and recommend counseling.

Now you can honestly say "I am somebody's bitch".

that brat! you should call his parents get them to come to the school and tell them what he says. tell them that this kind of behavior is unecceptable in you classroom and that next time you would consider talk to childe cervice to see where he gets this ideas from. and im saying this as a teacher my self for 2nd grader. if you tell the parent first theres nothing the kid can do later
