Today, it was the last day of school, and I said goodbye to one of my students. She then told me how to correctly pronounce her name. I'd said it wrong all year. FML

Sooo, why did she wait for the end of the school year to correct you?

It's not your fault. She should've corrected you.

I had a teacher that insisted that I didn't know how to pronounce my last name.

YDI. And she does too. I guess it's even bcuz she should of corrected u. And u should of learned it.

Holy mother of bad grammar and spelling, I'm not even going to try to correct this. Also, how could OP deserve it if the idiot never told OP how to pronounce it properly.

Bcuz she/he should always know how to say a kids name right within the first week of school.

I have that problem, too. I'm too shy to correct people at tell them it's pronounced: as-SHO-Le and rhymes with Chevrolet. They seem to get a real kick out of mispronouncing it.

Don't even bother feeling bad about it, it's her fault. She's the one who never corrected you. If it were me, I'd just ask "well why the hell didn't you correct me earlier, dumbass?"

hahaha lol. i had a friend named manasi and ALL of her teachers purnounced it mun-ass-ee.

The only reason your life doesn't suck is because your our of school

Uh, who cares? I mean, come on its not like she ran out screaming and crying for calling her the wrong name or fell over and died, heartbroken

FYL. It was the student's job to correct you earlier int eh year. I remember at my high school graduation ... I had to correct my teacher about my last name while I was receiving an award. Even though I had been correcting her all year. It was pretty embarrassing.

She should have told you earlier, I had one teacher who would mispronounce my name every week after correcting him every week
