Today, my 15-year-old son got so enraged at a fly that kept harassing him, that he ended up slapping himself in the face as it flew by him. This caused him to fall out of his chair, at which point he broke down into a mess of tears, humiliating me in front of everyone. FML

Wouldn't you break down if a fly pissed you off?

I find that pretty disturbing that you find yourself "humiliated" (what a strong word) because your son acted silly and immature. He looked stupid, not you and it's weird you can't see that and are ashamed of him. You sound like a douche-bag to me.

wow. i hate to tell you, as you should have figured this out in fewer than 15 years, but your children do not exist as reflections of your glory. this fly incident is by far not the worst thing about his family life.....

Yeah not quite sure why you matter... I feel bad for your son though. He could use a better dad =/

I'm surprised the kid manage to hit himself hard enough to knock him out of his chair. Strange to get worked so worked up over a fly.

My boyfriend did pretty much the same thing, but instead of tears, he broke a chair -_-

If your son breaks down into tears over this there must be something else going on. Stop feeling embarrassed or humiliated and try to find out what's bothering your son so much!

Narcissistic parents. Taking over the world since 1876.

That fly trolled your son to rage quit lol
