I find that pretty disturbing that you find yourself "humiliated" (what a strong word) because your son acted silly and immature. He looked stupid, not you and it's weird you can't see that and are ashamed of him. You sound like a douche-bag to me.
wow. i hate to tell you, as you should have figured this out in fewer than 15 years, but your children do not exist as reflections of your glory. this fly incident is by far not the worst thing about his family life.....
My boyfriend did pretty much the same thing, but instead of tears, he broke a chair -_-
If your son breaks down into tears over this there must be something else going on. Stop feeling embarrassed or humiliated and try to find out what's bothering your son so much!
