I've worn a costume with gloves and it was impossible to type. It's not unreasonable to go a single day without contacting someone. You can afford to wait one day.

He would still need to be able to answer the phone and the gloves will get in the way. I am thinking he has a smartphone, because if it had physical buttons, then it would be less of a problem. I just gone home from a party where I was a fox. I had gloves attached to my dress and I could not, for the life of me, answer the phone or call people. I had to have someone answer the phone for me because my mom called worried about something.
