Today, my best friend who I have known for ten years recommended I didn't continue a relationship with my girlfriend. I thought she wanted to go out with me which I was hoping for, for a long time. Turns out she wanted to go out with her. FML

You deserve it! You obviously don't feel your girlfriend is precious enough since you would have dumped her for the girl. So please tell your gf, let her call you horrid names and make some painful actions, then give the girl a chance with your gf who is now your ex.

What? I don't understand your logic. He obviously liked his friend for a long time but was put in friend zone. Therefore, he did the most logical and healthy thing and found someone else. His friend then makes a comment making him think she likes him, but she was only interested in his girlfriend (according to the fml). Are you implying that you would wait around for a girl for 10 YEARS without ever seeing anyone else? That's pretty messed up.

I don't understand how this comment can have a lot of thumbs up, however #12's comment has 15 negative votes. The comments are basically saying the same things, that OP shouldnt have led his gf on when he wanted his best friend the whole time. So why the split in votes?
