SOUND THE ALARMS. CALL THE FBI. ALERT THE CIA, A BOYFRIEND ASKED HIS SIGNIFICANT OTHER TO STAY COMMITTED EVEN IN DEATH. I love how people are accusing him of being a terrible boyfriend and person as a whole when he just requested his girlfriend of 5 years to stay committed if anything ever happened to him.
The vows always say "til death" not "after death." Yes it's dumb when people act like a commitment in marriage means nothing these days, but anyone who is selfless about the love they have for their significant other would not ask them to do this. Sure if you die and your spouse CHOOSES to remain single for the rest of their life then that's fine. However, once you're gone how they go on from there does not affect you, and only a very selfish person would expect them to make such a promise when all it does is gives them a current ego boost. As I said in my other post, I've already told my fiancee that if anything would ever happen to me she should never feel bad about looking for someone else afterward, because I know that there is definitely a possibility she could find someone else that would make her happy as well. I wouldn't take it as being replaced, simply that someone else is coming in to make her happy in a different way, and because I love her so much I'd want that for her. The only commitment I expect of her is that as long as I'm around she loves only me, but once I'm no longer around that would rightfully become void. While I suspect to get scolded for saying this, I'm not afraid to say that anyone who deserves to be in a committed, long-term relationship would agree with me about this.
Her boyfriend is a selfish jerk who only cares about his ego and not her happiness. Seems simple enough to me.
sounds like my husband. which I told him he cud, in return he says, I cudn't. lol..., anyways ,, yeah doesn't matter, unless he will be a ghost n haunt u for the rest of ur life!! hahahaaa,,, that cud happen ;)
