Today I proposed to my GF in the ZOO. Insteed beeing happy, the only thing that matters to her, is price of the ring. FML.

I think it's cute and I agree with everyone that it was probably a spontaneous decision of his. My husband proposed without a ring...I said yes and then he asked me whether I wanted to pick my own ring or have him pick one out for me...I told him that I wanted him to pick it out and once he had done that he took me to the place he had proposed at and asked me again, this time with the ring. Whenever I tell that story people think it's cute...I actually preferred my proposal to all those cliché proposals with a nice fancy dinner and the ring in the champagne glass or the cake or whatever...

I'd be all over that! Diamonds are boring, for one thing. For another thing, the zoo is awesome, as are ring pops.

That's cute, I'm sure he'll give you a real ring some time, if he doesn't then.. leave him.

That's would be cute if he was kidding around if you said yes been like "Would you really?" and pull out a real ring. Maybe if it was completely spontaneous? I'm on the fence about it.
