my parents had the same last name people always make jokes that they are related of course they weren't! my mum said she only married my dad so she didn't have to change her last name haha

Lol, name changing is - should be - the last reason anyone should have for marrying. It seems like he isn't interested, for the time being. If you guys are under 30 that's generally understandable. Here's to the women who keep their original surnames. That's a thing, too! :)

My aunt and uncle had kidda the same last name, she just had to drop one l as he uses one and she uses two. If that's the reason give him all the advantages of marriage as a joke
