Today, my boyfriend still won't talk to me, after I caused him the "worst embarrassment" of his life in front of his friends. What did I do wrong? I joined their conversation and ended up confusing the fictional characters of Gollum and Yoda with one another. FML

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, I don't live in my mother's basement, not emo, AND I have a wonderful man in my life that loves Star Wars almost as much as I do. But I'm not batshit crazy over it lol. There's a difference in loving something and living it. But you have to show respect to the ones that love Star Wars, otherwise you're just being kind of rude. :)

No offense, but this guy seems to be taking his love of all things nerdgasm and taking it too the extreme, hence my comment. Just saying, they're only movies, albeit awesome ones, but not THAT awesome that you have to have "the worst embarrassment of your life" over it.

Personally, it doesn't sound like he was being completely serious. And honestly, if my boyfriend joined ANY conversation with my friends and didn't know what the **** he was talking about, I'd be a little embarrassed for him myself but I would correct him later. It's any topic, not just nerdy ones.
