Today, my boyfriend woke up wheezing terribly, aching, and sneezing. He's allergic to cats. I have 2 and they are my babies. He gave me an ultimatum, him or the cats. I haven't figured out how I'm going to tell him that I choose the cats. FML

Forget him then! It sounds like you have had the cats longer than him anyway, what kind of asshole boyfriend would ask you to get rid of your pets? My boyfriend of 3 years is allergic to cats, and he still lives with my 2 cats because he can man up and deal with it, the cats are also semi hypoallergenic which helps, but he wouldn't DREAM of ever making me choose him or my pets. Dump this ass for an animal lover.

yeah agreed, if he makes the ultimatum it should be bye-bye to him. he needs to be willing to compromise, especially if your cats are so important to you

Yea I'm allergic to cats too and you really can't just tough it out. If cats are more important to you than men then just buy 40 more, move into a dirty trailer and get it over with, crazy cat lady.

Crazy cat ladies actually love their cats. They wouldn't buy 40 of them, because that would make them unhappy. And I'd definitely pick my cat over some ****** asking me to abandon pets I've cared for for months or years. There are plenty of non allergic dudes in the world. I can take looking at other girls, watching ****, watching football and sports, coming home drunk, partying with friends, being ignored in front of friends, not being called for days, seeing the chores ignored, and some other things that seem to be absolutely abominable for most girls. I can stop eating peanuts for an allergic, meat for a vegetarian, various things for a religious partner... You'll have to excuse me, though, if I can't fathom abandoning a fluffy living being, ever.
