psh. my ex made me get rid of mine and six months later we broke up. don't get rid of them.
shave your cats to look like Vin Deisel = no allergy problems
we had a lady around the town where I grew up that made the same choice. We were all terrified of her, her three hundred cats that she lived with, and the fact that she smelled like a litter box.
If that is your choice than you should have already broken up with him. I bet we are going to see another FML in a minute that says: Today my girlfriend picked her cats over me. FML
Wise choice! If your boyfriend is issuing ultimatums and is not willing to make compromises, then he's not someone you want to be with anyway. Plus, unless it was a very serious relationship (which, since this was the first night he slept over, it probably was not to that stage yet), there's a good chance that you would have broken up later anyway. Then you'd be left with no boyfriend and no cats. Boyfriends can always leave, but the cats will always love you.
But this is the type of thing that you can't compromise. I am also rather allergic to cats, to the point where they give me asthma attacks and I can barely breath. Meds help, but only for a short time. I just can't stay around cats for long. Call me crazy, but I don't think being able to breath is something you can compromise.
Why is it when it's an FML about a girl giving a guy an ultimatum everyone's all "OH DUDE, SHE'S SUCH A BITCH, FYL." But when it's the other way around, it's STILL the chick who's the bad one and it's automatically "YDI FOR BEING A BITCH!" What the mother ******* hell is wrong with you ****-******* assholes? I'd choose the cats too, I mean ****, if anyone gave me an ultimatum like that I'd automatically choose the one who DIDN'T give me the ultimatum in the first place. It's the OP's douche of a boyfriend who needs to go jump off a ******* cliff and get ass raped by Hitler in hell for all eternity.
Congratulations. If you truely like a guy, you'd choose the cats? That's just pathetic. Some girls needs to be given ultimatum, else they wouldn't choose, and that can easily lead to the guy taken into hospital. Guess that thought never crossed your mind...
Some girls need to be given an ultimatum? So where should it start? "If you don't lose ten pounds, I'll leave you"? "If you keep seeing you male best friend/your annoying parents/your stupid sister..."? "If you don't abandon your pets to a probable death..."? Relationships shouldn't be about dominance and blackmail. If a couple can't talk things through and compromise on things like that, well they'd be better off with other people. So the guy is horribly allergic? First step would be to try to medicate against the symptoms and avoid the cats, and - if medication doesn't seem worth it - to break up already... Because if he ain't willing to at least try, that should tell you how much he values the relationship. Jesus, if you were allergic to pollen and started dating a farmer, would you ask them to close shop and move to town at the first cough?
I guess he is not the love of your life then, if you rather have him ill, or not at all. Weird to be with him in the first place though, if you like the cats more than him!

tell him to get allergy medicine then u can have both
Bravo for keeping your cats! It's nice to see at least one person who won't dump them just because their bf is allergic.
