Did you guys read the first line about parental controls? The 11PM curfew is on the computer, not for staying out. (And is kind of ridiculous btw.) Chillax people.

If OP goes to high school, they shouldn't be doing pointless crap on the computer after 11 anyhow. It is our job to get an education, and we should act professionally, meaning we don't disrespect our teachers by falling asleep in class.

You do realize most homework is done on the computer now right? I'm just finishing freshman year of college, but for the past 3 years (junior and senior in high school plus this year) I've done NOTHING on paper. My teachers wouldn't even accept it if I did.

parents have the allusion of control most of the time we listen but if they say be in bed by 11, and your not, wtf are they gonna do? beat you? thats child abuse. i mean i listen to mine most of the time, cuz they are nice but really . its silly to think you have control over somoene if you cant : hurt them in anway, the most they can do is kick you out. but hey even then. but wtv im just tired so that didnt make any sens

At 17? That's a bit too old to bend your kids over and spank them, don't you think? I graduated at 17... And I dated someone in the grade below me who still got spanked... His dad was verbally abusive, to both of us actually, and my bf had no confidence and refused to go out and do stuff because of it.

No... no it's not. "Parental controls." He's taking about the computer or TV (not sure which.) 11 o'clock curfew for under 18s doesn't apply here, and incidentallythat law isn't the same everywhere anyway.
