Today, my daughter, who was born in late 2000, mentioned how amazing it is that she'll be alive during the year 3000. I asked her exactly how old she thinks she'll be by then. She said, "Thirty, duh." I've screwed up as a parent, so very badly. FML

Did you ask her the explain this logic? I want to know her secret & live until the year 3000. You never know OP, she could be the next Albert Einstein.

What if OP's daughter created a time machine and plans on traveling to the year 3000 when she turns 30? And she can bring all of their technology and solutions to our time and creates a paradox where our past is more advanced than their future and therefore creates a cycle where the future's ultra advanced technology comes to our time and makes the future even more advanced? BOOM MINDFUCK

Whats the average iq in the us again? Is this really that surprising? At 13 a normal kid is doing algebra, in the us, well u get the point

Ask her how old she was in the year 2000, the year she was born. If she says 20, you screwed up. If she realizes her mistake, have her work harder in math :-)

Maybe she is planning on freezing herself when she turns thirty idk FYL OP

Dumb with the age, but there is a serious chance she will be alive in 3000 AD. Within her lifetime it is likely that medical advances will increase human life expectancy by more than one year per year, making human lifespan indefinite. Then the human species and she specifically have to last until 3000 AD.

There's only one thing left to do. Give her away and start over. If that one turns out the same, then you'll know that you're the problem and shouldn't have any more kids.

I"m born in the late 2000 ! are you shore she said that !

You're not making a good case for your year, you know.

Honstly, I stopped counting at 30. I was 30 eight years ago, I'm 30 now, so it stands to reason that I'll be 30 nine hundred and eighty-seven years from now.

That's because you and her were taught "fuzzy math" by bush.

Don't need to be so hard on your child. Give it time and work together.

She's only 13 you still have time to correct your mistake
