YDI for you guys interrupting the movie for everyone just so he could propose.....WHAT HORRIBLE TIMING? I mean really? God forbid you do it afterwards? like when the movies done so you won't piss anybody off? I mean I woulda been mad too, probably not have thrown anything at you guys but mighta said something nasty. People at the theatres are usually assholes when their movie that they paid to go see is interrrupted. It's common sense not to do that. Sorry your moment got ruined by piss poor timing.
no no no, #178 - the real question is: what movie was it? haha, just kidding. that was really nice of him, btw.. i wouldn't be annoyed if someone paused a movie to propose to someone.
#169, if I pay for a movie, I expect to WATCH it. It isn't about waiting or not waiting, it's about I am not getting what I paid for. Isn't it more rude to hold up a whole theater of people just so you can have your little moment that shouldn't be involving them at all? Also, OP, not your fault at all. Your boyfriend just didn't think things though.
Honestly, anyone saying that your boyfriend is an idiot for proposing is either jealous or very close minded. Interrupting a ******* MOVIE "just so someone can propose?" Big deal. It's a goddamn movie, and I would hope that people would be a little less selfish than they've proven themselves to be in these comments and, clearly, in that theater. "But I paid $10!" So what? Get over it. I'm sorry that happened OP, that must've been embarrassing; it was sweet of your fiance to do that. Maybe some other people wouldn't have liked to be proposed to there, but some people may like it. I think it's ridiculous some of these comments are stating exactly how a proposal should be. Congrats, OP. :]
How dare people interrupt someone back after they interrupted them! How selfish of them! I mean, clearly if you disapprove of idiotic/selfish/entitled/inconvenient behaviour you are just jealous of the person being the selfish, self entitled idiot. Makes sense. "But he proposed!" So what? Get over it?
#184 - Get over it. Some people are so bitter / selfish.
Okay. I am going to call bs on this one. I have been a manager of a movie theater for one of the largest theater chains in the world for the past five years. There is no way, no way, NO WAY I would let anyone stop a film in the middle to let someone propose to his girlfriend. Period. Unless this was some tiny little privately owned theater where the guy actually knew the manager or projectionist, this would not happen. Every single other person in that theater would have been entitled to a refund. It would have lost the theater money, it would have thrown off the movie schedule for the rest of the day and it's just plain rude. It's my job to make sure patrons have the most comfortable experience possible, not create some sort of public arena for some dingbat to propose to his girlfriend. I hope you said no.
WHAT A BASTARD! >:[
i could say a few different things about this, but the main thing is that once the proposal's already started, that asshole should've at least been respectful about it. :(

Well, it is kind of rude to interrupt the movie for other people. I know I would get made if the movie I pair for suddenly stopped in the middle so some guy I don't know could propose.
Who would even think of interrupting a movie to propose? Dumbest idea ever. Plus getting down on one knee in a movie theater? Ewwwwwwww. Those floors are nasty.
