Today, my fiancé proposed to me at the movies. The movie stopped in the middle, and my fiancé stands up, takes out a microphone and announces to the entire theatre that he loves me. Right when he went on one knee, someone shouts, "Turn the movie back on!", and throws a cup of coke at my head. FML

Today, at a restaurant, I happily watched as my boyfriend of three years got down on his knees and proposed to me. Before I could say yes and hug him, a girl flung herself at him, kissed him and shouted, "Yes!" With us still highly confused, she then ran away. FML

Today, I thought it would be romantic to propose to my girlfriend during halftime at a local football game. I arranged everything with the stadium staff. When the moment came, I got down on one knee, only for her to hiss, "Are you serious? Right here?" She ran off, leaving me kneeling in front of hundreds of people. FML

Today, I decided to pop the question to my beloved. Perfect lighting, fresh cut roses, a fancy dinner. The restaurant was in on it too. Shame they brought out the wedding-themed congratulations dessert before I actually went down on my knee. FML

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend with the cliché of the diamond ring in a champagne glass. Apparently there was an off-duty police officer across the room watching me slip the ring into the glass. He thought I was slipping in a date-rape drug and tackled me down before I could propose. FML

Well, it is kind of rude to interrupt the movie for other people. I know I would get made if the movie I pair for suddenly stopped in the middle so some guy I don't know could propose.

i dont get people. why make your proposal a public attraction? is it really necessary to interrupt everyone at the movies/sports game/mall/whatever stupid public place you choose? and what if it doesnt turn out as planned? then you just look like an idiot and you have to deal with that. keep the proposals private. when its official, then go flaunt it. until then, nobody really cares.

I probably wouldn't be very happy, either, if I had just paid $10 to see a movie, and it was stopped just so that some guy I've never met could propose to his girlfriend. I paid to see a movie WITHOUT a pause and declaration of love in the middle of said movie. I wouldn't throw things because of it, but I'd still be fuming in my seat for someone interrupting my one-hour big screen escape from reality.

oh my goodness. really people??!? you can't wait a MINUTE for someone to propose, a big and special moment in their lives. A FREAKING MINUTE. this disgusts me! I can understand people being disgruntled and complaining, but to actually assault someone for pausing a movie? society today is too impatient and too incredibly rude.

I don't get why people are clicking YDI. You had know idea this was going to happen. If anything, YDI to your fiance. Stopping a movie in a public theatre for any reason gets the audience pissed off. Congrats on you're engagement though.
