Not neccesairly. Some people do nothing at all, and their partners up and decided they don't love them anymore. usually the result of the other one cheating on them.

was this out of the blue? or were you two fighting when he said that? if that was the case, just kiss (or wild and kinky make up sex) and make up. people say hurtful things when upset, doesn't always mean it's true.
