I thought the same thing about my mom by the time I was four, and I still do. My life would've been better without her in it. I was just to shy and too nice to say it to her. Kids aren't that bright, but they can tell when they're being treated well, and they can tell when their parents suck. Maybe this is a wake-up call and you can improve and become a better parent. In my case, that would've meant doing a lot LESS. If your kid is your entire life, you're probably doing it wrong. Because maybe they don't want you to be their entire life.
While it's true that many of Freud's theories have since been debunked, it's also true that young children go through this stage of preferring one parent over another. Having "good cop/bad cop" parents doesn't usually have much impact on girls going through a point where they prefer the company of their fathers and boys wanting the company of their mothers over their fathers.
That's sucks, and those ppl bringing theories into this is weird...
Welp time for you to DIE
Lol I basicly did dame thing last week. -divorced parents-

Obviously you're doing something wrong. A child that young should be crying his little ass off even thinking about his mum dying.
Your kid is sadistic, but at least he's honest.
