Well 61, I'm pretty damn sure cops behave differently in different countries. But I do agree that not typing the 'H' in throw is a horrible, HORRIBLE thing to do! Before I read some FML's on cops pulling guns for the smallest of things, I would never have guessed that anything like that happened.

#63 -That's how cops in the U.S. are trained. There is so much violence against them that they are supposed to assume that any unexpected movement could be an attempt to attack or escape, so they take their aim before the suspect can and proceed cautiously.

Today, my friend was pulled over and told to get out of the car. The officer motioned for me to get out of the car too so I reached behind me to get my shoes. He then pointed his gun at my face and frantically asked my friend if I had a gun. My friend calmly replied "Yes, and he'll shoot." FML -Fix't.

yeah, YDI for reaching into the back seat. Think of all the gang members are fugitives that are pulled over who would rather die in a shootout than go back to jail. Any movement like that the police man has to assume you're reaching for a gun, because if not he could end up dead. Basically, even if you're naked and he asked you to get out of the car, you'd better get out of the car naked, no questions asked.

So this is either a ripoff of the previous FML in which the OP didn't want to ruin his window tints, or you are extremely stupid. I'd believe the former over the latter, although you must be stupid if you think you could pass this off as legit. So I guess you're stupid either way. Congrats. Ha! I'm #69! *sexytime*

For all a cop knows, he may well have pulled over an armed felon on his way home from a bank robbery. Being a police officer isn't some desk job where the worst thing they can do is fire you if you screw up. Instead, mistakes may well prove fatal. Dozens of cops have been gunned down doing routine traffic stops. The smart ones know that it's better to scare a few people by being quick on the draw than risk getting shot in the face by some thug determined not to go to jail.
