I have very mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I do think that people in relationships should generally indulge in the other's fantasies and kinks (as long as they're not deeply triggering or it's something they really, really don't want to do because they feel it would scar them in some way), because they can be a bonding experience and quite a lot of fun and because it lets people be vulnerable with the people they feel closest to in a really intimate way. If OP just thinks it's kind of silly - and I agree with him that it is, but then many kinks are pretty strange and I don't think any single one is better or worse than any other - I think he was right to do it. However, I don't think it's right that his girlfriend guilted him into it. Bear in mind though that there are different levels of guilt - it could have just been her saying that she'd previously done something he was into but that she didn't really enjoy as much.
