Today, my girlfriend and I went out for ice cream. We somehow started talking about which of our relatives had died. Right when she was talking about how her grandfather had died, I started laughing. She had gotten ice cream all over her face. She broke up with me. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend to a very nice restaurant. I thought it would be a good place to pop the question. I gave the ring to the waiter and asked him to put it on her dessert plate. When she saw it she picked it up, put it down and said "no". Then she started to eat the dessert. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend of nearly 2 years out to dinner so I could propose. When the waiter brought the check, I caused a bit of a scene to get everyone's attention. When I got on my knee and proposed, she said no and asked if I could hurry up and pay, because she was embarrassed. FML

Ice cream vs. marriage? Girl's got her priorities straight! Seriously, OP, if you've learned nothing else from all other proposal-related FMLs, it should have been that you should always at least discuss marriage in general terms before actually popping the question, although in this case I do also question your GF's wisdom in taking a selfie with her ice cream...shit's gonna melt if she dicks around instead of eating it.
