Today, my girlfriend visited my restaurant with some guy I'd never seen before. She introduced him to me as her "new boyfriend". She was always a cold bitch, but I never saw this coming. I had to serve their food while choking back tears, and I couldn't work up the nerve to spit in it. FML

Today, while at dinner with my current boyfriend, my ex walked in with his new girlfriend. The waiter put them at the table next to ours, and the two of them had a front row seat to me spilling an entire guacamole salad on my lap out of nervousness. FML

maybe OP thought their relationship was more serious than she thought it was? introducing a new boyfriend to a current boyfriend only makes sense if she's horrible. it makes a lot more sense if she went out with OP a few times and he got attached and thought they were together when they actually weren't. also explains why he really only cried and didn't get angry.

This is a good point, had they only been casually dating and it was assumed they were bf and gf that is very true. Op didn't mention that is was a long standing relationship so it is very possible that she didn't consider them as a couple.
