Bad choice of words, it simply means that your Ph levels are unbalanced which in turn causes a yeast infection or BV. It's not STD related and it doesn't mean your dirty. This can be caused from being "too clean" actually; such as from douching, it strips away all the good bacteria down there. This also occurs when females take an antibiotic for an illness. They kill all the good stuff as well.

All sorts of stuff can be the cause. Treatments include washing with a soap-free cleanser (such as cetaphil), not wearing panties to bed, only wearing cotton panties, and taking probiotics. There are also prescription medications to treat it, as well.

With antibiotics it's not that it kills everything, it's that all the bacteria might not have completely exited your system. That's why the doctor and pharmacist always tell you to drink plenty of water. It helps wash away anything that might get left behind in the urinary tract.

Um no...the antibiotics actually kill your normal flora, the first line of defense of your body, causing overgrowth of opportunistics (like vaginal candidiasis (thrush)) Bacterial vaginosis is something different though, it's a ph imbalance which causes a change in the normal flora of the ****** and a funky discharge...
