um...you're upset because your kid was going to miss her dad? And that she was jealous he got to go to a foreign country? Maybe I'm missing something but I can't really see anything unusual about her reaction, and nothing specifically against you...I mean, I used to miss my Dad when he went to work in the day. If she didn't get upset that he was leaving I would be more concerned. I'm 20 and if my Dad got sent on a business trip to Germany I'd ask him to take me with him too! EDIT: oh I thought it said "don't leave me here" not "don't leave me with her" ok I can see being upset about that

I bet it's more of a situation when daddy's home, because it's so rare, she gets lots more attention, and special treats, etc, because he's not home 24/7... he's there so far and in between that he spoils his daughter when he gets a chance.
