Today, my mother and I went to Wal-Mart to buy pads. I suggested I get tampons instead, so that I can go swimming at my boyfriend's cottage. My mother then goes to the nearest store employee and asks, "excuse me, if my daughter uses a tampon, does that mean she is no longer a virgin?" FML

She probably didn't mean that it would literally 'de-virginize' you in that sense. A while back, it was believed you were no longer a virgin if your hymen was broken. She was probably asking if it could break your hymen... Which isn't a dumb question, it just wasn't appropriate at the time. >_>

The Hymen cannot break! The hymen is just a slightly thicker ridge of a membrane. The hymen can tear, not break. It is not something that is closing of your ******. Are Americans dumb or just really uneducated?

That doesn't make her stupid, you ********. I don't know about wherever you come from, but yeah, here in America, most public schools don't go into huge detail about the hymen. She never even IMPLIED that the hymen covered the ******. Besides, some hymens DO cover the ******, they're not all the same. wow that really sucks your moms crazy. but to adress this whole american/non-american thing all i have to say is let that person who thinks americans are stupid have this moment, they probably don't have a lot of moments that make them feel smart or they wouldn't have bothered posting that on here in the first place.

I'm American, not retarded. I've actually talked to Canadians and although they/you would probably like to believe otherwise, we are generally not that different, intellectually, educationally, or in the way we speak. I have no idea where that 'eh' thing came from....
