The sad thing isn't that your mom yelled at you... It's that she still cleans your room at 24
The reason why the mom was shocked is because she's either Asian, Arab or Brown. Just saying.
Everyone saying OP should move out of his parents' house and that he's a loser for not doing so needs to get off their high horse and wake up. The economy sucks, no one can find work, and even if you're working two jobs you'll be lucky if you can pay rent let alone buy food, utilities, car payments, etc. Many people ages 24 (and some older) are still living at home because it's hard to make ends meet these days. Just because he's 24 and still living at home doesn't make him a loser. What I am wondering is, why did his mom clean his room? Unless it was really that dirty, in which case he deserves it for not cleaning up his own mess. Otherwise, FYL OP for having an invasive, irrational mother.
Excuse me, but get off YOUR ******* high horse, sweetheart. I am 22, work one job, go to an extremely expensive school FULL TIME, pay for everything on my own, and can afford rent, groceries, etc. I can even afford to go out a little. Why? Because I can ******* MICROMANAGE MY MONEY. You think people are actually having it rough? Maybe. But I bet half the people that claim they are oh-so-poor are the ones going out getting new iPhones and clothes they don't need, video games that'll get dusty in a month, or buying booze to satisfy themselves. So shut the **** up, because I do just fine on one job.
It's a her btw...
I didn't move out until I was 24 and I hardly bought any of that crap you're describing. Yeah almost anyone can find some place if they absolutely have to, but just because you decided to piss away every cent you had right out of high school just so you could have your own place doesn't mean it was actually smart. Sometimes in the long run it's better to swallow your pride and live at home a few extra years so you can actually get a little financial stability before you actually do move out.
Maybe you should move out.. I mean, you are 24 ?
YDI for still living at home
Move out and you won't have that problem. You suck.

She probably will always see you as her little innocent daughter...
Clean your own room, your mum won't have to do it for you!
