so Regan didn't make this country better? are you saying that every republican destroys the united states? if your statement was true then our country would have been ****** long ago back in the 1800s when the party was created. I guess your idea about republicans isn't right seeing how under many republican run congresses/houses the united states has only improved.

@443 I find it extremely ironic that your name is Karl Marx on FML. You should probably take a look at the historical virtues of the GOP and those of the party today. I assure you that Lincoln would not recognize the party as we know it. And no, Reagan did not make this country better. You seem to assume that his amelioration of our nation is an accepted fact, beyond debate. Reagan instituted the "trickle down economics" which created the incredible disparity between rich and poor that we see today. He also pioneered many of the deregulations which allowed our current economy to be so crippled.

Also, I cannot think of any recent times when the Republicans have been in control and the country has gotten better. Though, I suppose this depends on your opinion of "better." If massive deficit and suspension of civil liberties fits your definition of "better," then I guess I would have to agree with you that they have made the country "better." One more incredible irony is that you can't even spell your hero's name: it's "Ronald Reagan," not "Regan."

you conservatives are morons. don't be expecting anything out of the Obama administration if you keep filibustering every bill needed to put the administration's plans into action. unless a plan or idea is backed almost completely, it cannot work successfully. all the filibustering is doing is halting all progress and not allowing obamas plans to play out how they should. you claim all things liberal to be socialist, but guess what else is socialist? public schools, law enforcement, fireman, medicare, public transportation, social security. I highly doubt that there is a single one of you that has not utilized at least one of those things, most have you have probably used more than one. over the years you have all griped about each of those things, but you enjoy them today. think about what our country would be without some of those things. it's not pretty. I guess Glenn beck didn't go to college because it is "liberal" and Hannity didn't graduate for the same reason. Wow.
