Today, my parents saw my report card. Now, they refuse to buy me my the new computer I've always wanted because my grades had 'slipped'. I made honor roll for three terms, and was kept off for the fourth for a single bad grade. I failed gym. FML

To pass gym don't you have to just show up? Even if you aren't athletic all you have to do is make an ounce of effort. This feels like YDI.

If the grade is actually performance-based, and not participation based... The lack of a computer may actually help you get outside more.

YDI for failing Gym. You have to try really hard to fail: every Gym teacher I've ever met was willing to allow people to retake classes for full credit. I'm sorry if you're overscheduled or something, but making up a 45-minute class after school is really not inconvenient at all.

YDI, because failing gym is almost impossible. My friend moved to Japan before the start of the school year, and he was graded anyway for a few classes. He passed gym.

Don't stress it dude. I guess you feel bad because you worked really hard in the past with promises of rewards. Personally, I hate how parents give children reward for good behavior. I mean you're suppose to do well in school, and your reward is self-imporvement, not computers or other items. Someday when you do a good job at work, you might not get anything even a small thank you. I think you did well, you passed up to this point. Good job.
