Today, my school's theatre decided to produce Les Misérables. I got the part of Éponine. My boyfriend, being a talented performer, could have gotten any part he wanted. However, he only wanted to play the soldier responsible for killing Éponine. FML

Today, I auditioned for my school's production of Romeo and Juliet. When they announced that I got the part as Juliet, all the guys auditioning for Romeo suddenly disappeared. FML

Today, I went to see the cast list for the new musical I'm in. I didn't get the part I wanted, and instead I got the part of one of the suitors. Interestingly, they made me the suitor to my ex. And the guy she leaves me for at the end of the musical is the guy she left me for in real life. FML

Today, my school's theater production was canceled. Not because of budget, but because my co-star fell in love with me and asked me out. When I pointedly declined, he refused to act alongside me since it was "awkward." Everyone's blaming me for it. FML

Today, I volunteered for a school play. During rehearsal, I was playing the part of an average housewife. The teacher asked for a volunteer to be my husband. Thirty seconds go by and no one raises their hand. The teacher ended up playing the part because no else wanted to. FML

Today, I went to go see my boyfriend of over two years in a play. I knew that he'd be kissing his female opposite at the end of the show, and I was okay with that. I snuck into his dressing room at intermission to find him "rehearsing" with her half-naked. FML

Today, I auditioned for a part in a play. I've been practicing for months, and was very excited. After I'd finished singing, the director whispered something to the other judges, and they all laughed. Hard. So much for the lead role. FML

Ah, Eponine. in this musical she's the one I think is the most depressing, not to mention desperate character. She does have a pretty memorable song though, you must have a lovely voice to have secured that role, break a leg op!

I really don't see the problem with this. Being talented doesn't mean that he'll immediately want a huge, starring role. Maybe he'd just like to be in the play, interact with you and not be the star? I know lots of talented people that prefer being in the background but still like to act with their friends. Besides, it sounds fun. When we did Peter Pan, I was a lost boy and my boyfriend was a pirate. All we did was sword fight and then I got to push him "overboard" and cheer. It's a play, not real life. It's not like he's going to actually kill you.
