I'm pretty sure that peoples head and media are their reality. We can't all encounter every person, and sometimes making a snap judgement based on a stereotype can be a good thing, or a bad thing. Just because the stereotype may not be accurate does not make it any less real. Emotions and opinions are both reality, and they effect people in real ways. There is never a legitimate reason to kill another person over food or any of life's amenities. Finally, someone who understood my point, thanks for making it clearer for everyone else. Secondly, I dont think gangster equals drug-dealer. In some cases it might be true, but definitely not for all. Some 'gangsters' are just in it to protect their friends and family and to do whatever they can for them to scrape along in life. That is definitely different from a drug dealer who makes excessive amounts of cash by soaking up money from the unfortunate and needy (which is exactly the same as what some businessmen do). Is it such a crime for these people to care about the people close to them? You say they should find a job, but somethings are easier said than done. If it were as simple as that to find a job and make 'clean money' then we'd all be millionaires. Maybe they've made one silly mistake in their past, and they're stuck with a record for the rest of their lives, making it relatively harder to find a job. I don't think that one mistake should have a lifetime of punishment for them AND their family, but sadly this is the way the world is, and you cannot say they deserve to die just because they want whats good for their families. In the world there has to be a high-class and a low-class, sadly we can't all be rich and in the top-tier of the world. And being in the lower class of society means everything is a little bit more difficult for them. It's not fair for you to deny them their lives because they are less fortunate than you and are doing everything in their ability to survive. You also need to understand, for many 'gangsters' there is no choice.

By the very definition of the word, a gangster is a criminal and a thug. For someone to say they have no choice is crazy, as there is always som form of choice, even if it isn't the easiest. I have realized that maybe they don't need to die and my first post is maybe a little extreme. Having said that, there is no reason in the world that a person should want to be a gangster. One day a couple years back, I went into my mom's room and saw her crying while she was holding an assortment of Final Notices. So that night, I got my pocket knife and robbed a man walking down the street, and put the money in an envelope and left it in the mailbox. Worst of all, I recognized the guy. I ******* cried the whole night, I felt like a monster. But I did it for my family. But after I started making money, I went down the man's house, and left the same amount and then some in his mailbox. And I donate and stuff now, so I feel betteer about it. I live in a small town in Georgia and one of the main dealers here does it to support himself. He was about 14 when his parents died, he didn't have any family to take him in, and so he did the only thing he could do in a society that doesn't let kids work - he started selling drugs to prevent going into foster care. Now he's so stuck in that lifestyle, along with gangs, that he can't get out. You have to realize that people do illegal things for a number of reasons. Some are quite reasonable, some are so stupid you just want to bash your head in. My boyfriend, for example, got involved in it because he was stupid. He thought it was cool and it landed him in a MESS. A mess that he's working extremely hard on to clean it up. My friend, on the other hand, grew up in a rough neighborhood in NYC and was basically forced into the lifestyle if he wanted to keep his family safe. Even so, neither of them have ever hurt a single person beyond the occasional High School brawl. They're both wonderful people who just so managed to get caught up in the wrong crowd. What they did was stupid, yes, and I'm the first one to admit that, but that doesn't justify wishing they were dead. What you just said is awful. There are plenty of people who do stupid and bad things for all the right reasons and all they need is a push - or a shove- in the right direction.
