Today, my teacher was talking about anorexia and bulimia. Midway through the lesson, she stopped and knowingly asked if I wanted to share my experiences with the class. I don't have an eating disorder, just a screwed-up metabolism. FML

Even though you don't have a disorder, that's horribly wrong of her to call you out on it in front of the whole class.

You're teacher is ignorant.. Wow. sorry OP !

You don't have to be writer to sympathise. There are Far worse things humans do than badly describing their feelings of empathy, lose your faith over those, this is slight displeasure worthy at worst. Also, your horse is awesome, and that's a pretty dress. Overall nice picture.

ughh, reading this sort of stuff makes me hate some people, your teacher was probably nice though... but nobody should assume important things like that!!

Actually sometimes people are just hyper-metabolic. My bf's family is, and apart from somewhat regularly having all-you-can-eat buffets try to left-handily ban them, they're all normal humans who just happen to be on the high end of the metabolic spectrum

Skin and bones...I am the same way...don't worry about it...

I know how that feels OP. It's like someone telling an obese person to find their way back to the ocean. Hang in there!

as someone who who used to have a disorder that's extremely offensive. you should report her for harassment even though it's just your body type.

Completely inappropriate. Even if you HAD an eating disorder, it would have been completely inappropriate to single you out like that. Tell your parents if they'll listen, and make a complaint to the school. If you're young, have an adult back you up so that they don't ignore you.

I don't think they're young, they're 90 something pounds (I didn't re-check the op name before writing this, sorry for the inexactness) that's more like the weight of a skinny young adult than a skinny pre-teen But good for you for noting how often that happens

Wow, OP, I'm sorry -- your teacher had no right to do that at all.
