Today, none of my 500 Facebook friends responded to my status about "who wants to hang out during summer holidays?" I created an imaginary person on a different account to respond and ask me to hang out with him. I had a conversation on my status, with myself. FML

@52: You're an asshole. Keep your pessimism to yourself. I don't know why you would make another account to respond to yourself... You don't have to show off for everyone to see that someone WANTS to hang out with you, and you should know that. Who cares about what people think? Just go out there and ask a couple of friends you know, or check around for people in the neighborhood you've seen often, but just never spoke to. Don't sadden yourself, hun. If you don't find anyone, there are many things you can do on your own. Enlighten yourself with lessons for a class; dancing, vocal, painting, whatever. Good luck, and don't worry. Everything's gonna be alright :)

Seriously, I don't get this new wave of people being personally sad of their "internet life." I don't have any friends myself, and on facebook, I have 101 friends - most of which are old highschool friends, and I don't get offended if they don't remember my birthday, or reply to my status. Who cares? They're not on there 100% of the time, and more than likely, if you made plans on Friday/Saturday/Sunday, literally on the days of the vacation, don't expect anyone to tag along. They already made plans. The point is make a commitment to do something for yourself, and just ask some people to tag along. If they don't want to, so be it, you already made plans for yourself. The journey of life is made by you alone, so just be happy and do stuff for yourself, and naturally people will come along. The harder you try to make friends and try to tag along with them, the harder your life is going to be because you're just not true to yourself.

haha. what's the point of having 500 "friends" if nobody talks to you? It just shows how desperate you are to add "friends" to appear more popular. And making another account just to make yourself appear less pathetic is quite pathetic. Ditto #2.
