Today, the heat rash that has been devouring my side for the last week was revealed to be something much worse: shingles. FML

Seriously guys? Shingles is a viral infection within the roots of your nerves and is caused by the awakening of the dormant chicken pox virus a.k.a. Herpes Zoster. Can't get much simpler than that. I had it back in March on my ribcage, it sucked hardcore.

You get shingles if you have had chicken pox before, so you're more likely to catch chicken pox at some point in your adult life rather than shingles
