Some people aren't raised any better. Take it as an chance to educate.
ok im going to get a lot of hate for this but it has to be said. gay people are no different to straight people but there is a large minority who like to act like they are. while i understand this is probably an in built defense mechanism for all the crap gay people have to put up with it may go a little to explain this stupid question. even with all that considered the question was incredibly stupid.
As much as it sucks, you could make the most of it and try to educate him in a kind manner. Let him get to know you. Most likely he learned the ignorance in his upbringing or by simple lack of exposure. If he was being serious and not hateful, even with such an asinine question, he is probably open to learning. I've went through very similar situations being bipolar. It too carries a stigma and makes people afraid of what they don't know or understand. I try to educate without cramming it down someone's throat. I answer questions, including stupid ones. I let people get to know me. In many cases, I've made both friends and advocates for the issue. Some people still ran. And that's fine. I've also helped people who were suffering from mi themselves. Even with the list causes, I'm glad I take the approach I do. Instead of letting their ignorance cause disgust in me, i try to make the most of it and walk away a better person for it, win or lose. The wins make it worthwhile and the losses help prove to me I can be the person I want to be despite how others are.
Being a kid (I mean, he was born in a time where he should accept gay people), he wasn't supposed to act like an ignorant jackass.
Ugh I so know what you have to deal with, OP. The other day my colleague (55 year old supposedly educated woman) asked me how I make my relationship work without sex, since I'm a lesbian and neither of us has a dick. She was serious. But yeah, FYL. Just try to answer and explain calmly. Most of them are still very ignorant, and answering them, while very uncomfortable, will shed light and lessen the fear of the unknown. Less hate more love :):)
That person doesn't deserve to be called a human being EVER. One of the funny things about this is that when people are in the process of deciding to be gay and coming out of the closet, they experience some of the strongest feelings that one can feel.
I hope that with this sucky experience comes something good... Like someone baking you chocolate chip cookies to make you feel better
I'm bi so I only have feelings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Friday.
This is pure freakin' gold! Clever and funny :D
Theirs no such thing as a homophobe, they're real name is jerks who can't accept same sex love

Tell him, "Not only do I have feelings, I have super powers as well!"
